The waters around Bermuda are warmed by the Gulf Stream, and host the Sargasso Sea--a liquid jungle of creatures such as loggerhead turtles, fish, sea hares, crabs, and seahorses that exists in floating forests of golden brown sargassum seaweed on the surface of the sea. Within Bermuda's deep waters, explorers William Beebe and Otis Barton discovered bioluminescent sea creatures reminiscent of comets, suns and stars.
