Mr. Mark Contreras, Assistant Principal Hello. My name is Mark C. Contreras. This 2008-09 school year will be my fourth year serving as an Assistant Pricipal here at Channel Islands. I am anxious to see the 2009 graduates cross the stage in June as the first class I have had the opportunity to see through all four years of high school, and I look forward to many more to come thereafter. I myself graduated from C.I. in 1990, and as the sayign goes, "once a Raider, always a Raider." I have been aligned to Athletics, Facilities, and Campus Supervision/Security for the past few years, and while we celebrate the incredib;e changes and improvments we have made at the end of these four years, I know we will continue to strive foe excellence and renew the glorious tradition of success this school has been know for throughout its history. My ultimate goal is to provide students with a safe, secure, and clean learning environment in which they can excel in academics and athletics, while creating lasting positive relationships and building their furtures. The alphabetic section of students I am directly aligned to is those students with last names Lopez, F. through Ramos. |

Mr. Sam Cvijanovich, Assistant Principal It is a common knowledge fact that the CI Raiders have been known over the years for their competitive spirit! I feel it a privilege to be associated with this excellence in sportsmanship. Having many years of personal experience playing sports against CIHS from 1965-1968 in football, basketball, and baseball, I have always admired the determination of the Raiders. With experience as a former professional athlete, it will be my mantra to all student to "Do Your Best First in the Classroom" and when on the playing field, "Just Flat Out Play!"
